We were talking to Kelly Kaminiski about this. The girls with 80 rodeos will have double the costs compared to for instance Lisa Lockhart. |

She will have to be fast and perfect from here on out to get it done. We were at Spanish Forks when she set a new arena record and that run was beautiful to watch. I don't doubt her and Bling have the ability. But it will be difficult to accomplish at this point in the season.
This was her first year to rodeo that hard, wasn't it? It's a steep learning curve, I bet she will do better next year. |

You are exactly right. Another thing that you have to take into consideration, is how far are they traveling to win that money. If you aren't in the top 15 but have quite a bit of money won without a big rodeo count you are going to have a wider profit margin just because of fuel and days gone from home. You can make money with the right horse. |

I don't think she really started hauling much out west to the bigger rodeos, till June or a little after. She has done tremendously well and still has shot to win Rookie of the year. |

| This is a "dream" for so many. Maybe because I am older, I think about all the hauling, the lame, sick horses, the broken down trucks, flats on the trailer, driving all night to run in a sloppy, muddy pen in slack. It would NOT be for me. That said, I admire those gals more than anything and I get a BIG lump in my throat watching them run at the finals. I have nothing but the upmost respect for all of them but working a regular job seems so much easier (and more secure for me). I guess I am too much of a worrier! |

I would LOVE if Sarah & Bling made it. My friend Shannon bred, raised and Sold Bling to Sarah's family through the Fulton sale. My friend also bred, raised and sold Guys Six Pack of Fame - Christine Laughlin's awesome mount. It's going to be so awesome to see the Western 37 brand make an appearance at the T&M. Shannon has worked very hard to build a solid breeding program and quite a few shining stars have come from there. |

So happy to see Christine Laughlin in the top!!! I think it was a couple years back, she smoked some runs at the National Western Stock Show--was impressed then-glad her hard work has paid off!

Yes this is her first year as well as Blings. She ran some of the winter rodeos here in the southeast then headed back out after the Triple Crown Show in Perry Ga. Hindsight being what it is if she had went out and made a run at the July 4th rodeos no doubt she would have gave the top 15 a run for a spot. She and Bling sure have shown they have what it takes to run with the big dogs of the WPRA. So proud of them. |
