Extreme Veteran Posts: 338 Location: Martin,Tennessee	Hello All. Question, Is there a huge big difference between alfalfa pellets and alfalfa cubes? Is one better than the other? Either way I soak them first with water to prevent choking. Thanks in advance.

Accident Prone Posts: 22277 Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR	I prefer cubes because it's closer to hay than pellets. Nutrition-wise, I'm not sure there is any difference, but I think the cubes being bulkier should move through the gut better.

Expert Posts: 1367 Location: mi	What I have read is that Pellets are going to be used more as just a calorie source not as a hay source. Your cubes could be used to actually replace some of the hay as it is more fiberous.
