Now this is funny. I have never heard of anybody but me talk about that. My gelding is scared to death of tractors! I cant even warm up in same arena when they are dragging. He is 19 now!! However I just picked my battles with him because when it came time to run barrels, they were parked in the arena and he NEVER gave them a thought. ....i am talking about the one in my avatar pic!

Follow it while its driving.. let him "chase it".. when you let them "chase" it, in their mind they become dominant over the object and learn there is nothing to fear.. if you chase him with it.. he might never get over it, because he is in flight mode.
EXACTLY. The key is not pushing them to follow too close too quickly. Let them start out at a distance that they comfortable with and gradually work your way closer as they're ok with it. Usually when people have trouble with following, its because they push them too close too soon. Let them relax and they'll let you know when they're ready to get closer. Horses are naturally curious animals in the right hands.
