We have a "dog stall" that we keep our outdoor dogs in at night so they are not chacing and barking at deer all night.

We have put down lime under the shavings to help with the odor.  I strip it once a week to help with the smell.  What else could we put under the shavings that will help with odor?  I do not like the film that the lime leaves behind and I do not think it is very good for the dogs hair.

Any suggestions?

Lime will burn their paws..

I think Baking Soda would work but you need to buy it in a big bulk bag...Costco has it and many hardware stores.

If it was me I would buy the PDZ for horse stalls or similar.

I would also look at Odor Ban that they sell at Costco or Sam's but you would have to read the label first to make sure it would be safe for animals.

I keep thinking of more..LOL

EZALL all purpose sprayed on the floor would also help and put your shavings over it.

When you strip the stall spray the floor or the mats down with it. With it being a concentrate that you make up your self just add more or less to make it more is less powerful.
