Location: West River - SoDak | I have three Frosty Feature bred horses, and they are great using horses with ability. In the right hands they are nice. It is apparent to me that they need a job, and none of mine that I have now or have had in the past were much of pets.
We have a 7 year old mare that is Dual Pep grand daughter on top and out of a Frosty Feature bred mare, and she has won well over $100,000 as a heel horse. I also have a super cute 5 year old mare that is as quick footed as a cat and has money won in the roping arena and will make a nice indoor barrel horse, she is small and not flat fast, but very quick, so I'm getting her going on the barrels to see if she won't make a nice little barrel horse for those small indoors and such. My 4 year old however, is FLAT FAST and she is huge. SHe is out of Paul Tierney's program and is a worker. She can take a lot of pressure, and needs to be in a very confident riders hands, but she has all the athetic ability to do anything and be good at it. I have noticed that none of the ones that we have owned were easily frazzled or fragile minded. They almost thrive on pressure and need someone that is not afraid to get after them... They will bluff you into thinking they are going to do something naughty, but if you take control and make them work, there is no limit to what you can accomplish. |

Location: West River - SoDak | Also, I don't know what your situation is, but we put a lot of ranch miles on all of our horses and if not for the time they had put on in the pasture, I don't know that they would be as good at their jobs in the arena as they are. |

Location: Wyoming | I have a Frosty Feature/Bully Bullion mare that I bred to my Three Ohs/Cash Legacy stallion she had a filly this year and so far I am impressed with her disposition speed and athletic abilit. She's a cat! |

| Frosty Feature was out of a Leo daughter. I know Charmayne had A Black Feature who she was very high on. We kept a Frosty Feature stallion here once for a friend. He had a super nice disposition. Very easy to deal with. I showed against a lot of them in the 80's. They were really nice horses for the most part. |

Location: Cocoa, Florida | My good older (he's 11 now) open barrel horse is frosty feature bred in the back on sires side. He is by far the smartest horse I've ever owned, one of the fastest too (when he wants to be). It took me a long time to get with him, he's pretty good size too 15.2. Truckle feature had a speed index of 112 I believe. He is very versatile, loves to track steers but he gets hot fast. They definitely need a job, he gets bored easy. overall his is my favorite horse I've ever owned. He's not a 1d horse but falls 2/3d now in big shows. |

| Thank you everyone. So far everything about this horse I found has been pretty nice. I have not found heart and try in a horse like this in a long time. And his dispostion is AMAZING and he is super friendly. If he was a human he would be the perfect gentleman. |

| I have a mare that is 22% Leo. Hes all over her pedigree. Shes only 14 hh, but has lots of heart. Shes gentle but I wouldnt call her a pet. You cant tire this wench out. She was good in the pasture for that reason. I get frusrated with her on the barrels though because she takes a lot of riding to knock the edge off. I spend an extra 20 min with her as I would do with others just loping her down some. Leo himself was a runner, and he pops up in lots of successful horses pedigrees. They did breed him like crazy. I think those lines are a good mix.

Location: home for the winter...what a dumb idea | Check out the Flatten ranch . Their Leo breed horses are doing great in the barrel pen and not just in the north. They have run at supper and mega shows, high school rodeos, and Pro rodeos. The rafter F on the hip is their brand. |

| Do you remember Hopey? He was by a TB but his dam was by Three Chicks and she was out of a Leo daughter. If you remember him, you know what an awesome horse he was in every aspect. Judy always said it was the Leo that made him such a nice barrel horse. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | I have a Leo (don't remember what He's crossed with at the moment) that I run. His momma died while giving birth to him. (She was around 15 hands, He stands 17 hands.) He was a bottle fed baby and lived IN THE HOUSE with the a gentleman I look to as a grandfather figure. Needless to say he's in your pocket all the time.
He's soooo smart. So incredibly smart and easy to train. I've never had a horse from the Leo line before but I'd buy another in a heartbeat.
He literally will let himself out of his stall at night, turn on the barn lights and then lock himself back up!! I caught him one night and couldn't stop laughing. Instead of letting himself out and running out the open barn door, He was just afraid of the dark. LOL. He plays jokes on me all the time too. He has a priceless personality.
He's so quick and catty even being so large. He gets down and really works hard for me. He's very level headed and calm outside of the arena. He's a free runner as well. I'm not sure if that's anyhting like the other Leo's but that's my Leo:) |

| I have one I am pretty darn excited about. She is by Nebraska Blue Moon who is by Leo Hancock Hayes x daughter of Raise your glass out of an own Daughter of Frosty Feature. She she has both those horses you listed close on her pedigree, Leo twice! She is only a yearling but she sure is a nice one so I have high hopes for her.
