Strange question but where do I look for a thin, skinny, project type horse to buy?

We had a bumper hay crop this year, pasture have been growing steady and I'd like to buy a horse that needs help. MUST be registered and sound. Where do I find for such an animal??? I've been looking on craiglist with no luck and we don't have any sale barns in my area.

Any ideas?

Only thing I know is sale barns or ride the roads and look for the poor souls tied in yards starving. Maybe the rescues. Our sale barns have lots of hungry horses. good luck

Usually looking at my local area facebook horse ads, I can generally spot one "I" think needs help!!!
Other than that the local sale barn or feed store bulletin board.

If you have a local reputable rescue group you could donate hay or adopt from them.

Look up auction horses on facebook. Sabrina Canoughton is the liason for listing horses in the kill pen.

Hopefully someone will soon. There is a big TB gelding on there that needs a home asap.
