Chromium and Remission supplement

Has anyone used the Animed Remission supplement on a horse that has not foundered or insulin resistant? I'm trying to find some info but haven't found very much. Now for the chromium, I've read on a couple of websites that it helps regulate the glucose utilization, or does nothing, or it is bad for them. I put our underweight OTTB that we rescued on the Remission and he has put on some weight since being on it. But what is every ones thought on the subject?

I use Remission for my horse who has headshaking syndrome because of the magnesium that's in it. The last tub I bought, they had taken out the chromium. No notice of change. Suddenly it was gone. The folks on my headshaking board said they put the chromium back in. I wonder if that is true; maybe they just bought some older tubs?

Thanks for the info! I liked all of the other things it had in it, just wasn't sure abut the chromium since I've never really heard of it before
