Hi, I'm thinking of not blanketing this year, obviously unless it gets terribly cold. With that I'm thinking I would like to have a cooler for my mare when I get done riding. I have researched some but have no experience in coolers and was wondering if someone could help. Thanks!

Location: Oklahoma		I have the polar fleece coolers from Smithbrothers. They've held up and worked well over the past 10 years.

I literally made my own ... I hit up JoAnns fabrics, bought the thickest fleece (non-pill variety) I could find. measured it out, sewed it together, bound the edges, added a clip in the front, and made my own. Works well and it was a heck of alot cheaper than buying one. Maybe, check your local used tack places? I have seen some pretty reasonably priced in those too.

Location: Deep South		Any fleece material will work. I've seen many people make their own. My only preference is having the Velcro rather than the tie straps.
