Sorry to put salt in the wounds of so many-but I am wondering what companies have the best rates for your money?

As most of you, we are so displeased with the way our insurance is turning out (BlueCrossBlueShield)! We are expecting a baby the first week of January and not only do we pay a high bill monthly, but we have a high deductible AND of course it starts over January 1st-only a week before baby is due to be born (We want our baby healthy, but we might be praying for a week early delivery).

What makes me even more angry is the letter I got in the mail with my bill statement saying, "if you do not have insurance and cannot afford insurance please call the following number for a 100% free discount or free care." Seriously?? A girl I know was shocked how much my husband and I had to spend on our deductible to have a baby-because all her baby deliveries were paid for, along with government assistance for formula and food. Some people need the assistance, but the majority don't! Okay, rant over. Back on topic!

Tell me what your thoughts are on the best companies and plans! Thank you :)

Yes! Unfortunately, our doctor's do not see it that way!

In Obama's America, the hard working citizen pays for everyone else's free stuff. The people who paid nothing get free or next to free healthcare while the rest of us pay high premiums and ridiculous high deductibles. I have to pay a total of $12,000 before I get any healthcare between my $500.00 monthly premium and my $6,000. deductible.

So sorry you are experiencing this as it sure wasn't like this in the old days when I had our daughter.

We have an HSA, a $20,000 deductible for a family of 4. I think our monthly bill is just shy of $700 and the coverage sucks. But to give you some optimism, both my boys were 10 days to 2 weeks early
