I feel like my mind is on a question roll today haha. I know there have been A LOT of pregnancy posts on here within the last few months and I was reading up on them BUT one question came to mind. I know some girls stopped riding completely, some kept on riding up until their bodies said no more, but I was curious about the ladies that rode for as long as they could.
Who kept competing and running barrels while they were preggo and for how long?

I raced until I was 26 weeks along, and rode up until the day before I had my daughter. of course my horse was bombproof and safe, otherwise I wouldn't have taken the chance to ride.

I ran until I was 28 weeks but then had complications unrelated to riding and was put on modified bed rest. My ran until she was 34 weeks with both me and my sister.

Four pregnancies, all different. Ranged from competing all the way through to not riding at all. It just really depends on what horse I have (I'm not climbing on a 1D, young, overly big, or slightly unpredictable horse when I'm pregnant), how the pregnancy is going, and my time available to do it consistently. When you're pregnant you will find that you need to do it consistently or you will pay. LOL!

My 14.3h, 18 yr old 4D mare who doubles as a throw down kids horse was perfect.
