Elite Veteran Posts: 1163 Location: Foot of the Smoky Mtns, East Tennessee	I think it really depends on the vet you use, the extent of the area involved, etc. I was told anywhere between $1500 and $4000 depending on the circumstances. We tried injections, but they don't seem to have helped so we are looking into surgery as well.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 462 Location: Louisiana	After injections and shockwave that was just a band aid I just had KS surgery on my mare at Texas Equine Hospital. Dr. Cliff Honnas in Bryan. Cost for surgery is $4000 but let me say I drove 6 hours one way and would do it a hundred times over for the care and compassion I got from Dr. Honnas and the staff. My mare coliced right after surgery and she was very serious. Dr. Honnas texted me every time he did anything to her, sent me videos etc. I just can't say enough wonderful things about him and the staff.
