Hey guys, I am managing the events at a facility here in PA and would really enjoy getting them into the barrel world. We have an indoor that's 80x220
(also a 150x250 outdoor but that's frozen right now
). The facility itself is beautiful! They have had some footing hauled in, sand based, which had originally seemed too fine and created a lot of dust. They have since added Mag Flakes which cut out the dust issue and now we are on the depth debate. We have a few drags that we can use to vary the depth. Our last show we used a drag which made the ground about 6 inches deep with room to spare to the base. We did not have one slip or stumble and I was fairly pleased. Our other drag can easily bring it up to about 7-10 inches but then we are right at the base. I really would like to hear what everyone else prefers on ground and depth. Also as a competitor or spectator, what makes or breaks a facility for you guys? I know what I like but I want to here others opinions. And go.....
