Horse was turned out and ended up casting himself. After getting him up, I had the vet come out to check him. She cleared him and said he was good to go. Next call was my chiro, he came out the next day and said his hip dropped. It has been 2 weeks of hand walking and no soreness what so ever. I have kept his BOT sheet on him almost all the time. This past weekend was quite warm so during the day I took it off. When I returned to put it on at night he nearly dropped to the ground when I brushed over his lumbar area. Sheet on overnight, not sore in the morning. Did this routine over the weekend. Same everyday. Sheet = not sore No sheet = sore

I called my vet today and filled her in. She suggested SI injections and shockwave.

I was just wondering if anyone could throw in their 2 cents. Since he is ok with the BOT sheet on, does this mean it is more muscle related? Are injections the only fix? Any other magnetic/micro-currents for treatment?

I have had huge results with PHT in horses like this.  On really sore horses I put the sheet on them and take off every 12 hours. brush and put it right back on.  Leave the sheet on 24 hours a day for 5 straight days, then go 12 hours on and 12 hours off

PHT promotes homeostasis along with a long list of other great benefits.  I hope your horse feels better soon

I sold my BOT sheet and bought a PHT sheet...

Few reasons: one-too hot, two-bad fit, need to redesign the sheet, three-just never saw a sign it was working or not.....

I personally didn't not see any differences in my mare, now granted I am using the sheets as PREVENTATIVE maintance to go along with my chiro adjustments and keep my girl feeling good....

She seems to be more relaxed in her PHT, plus its a mesh sheet and can use ANYTIME of the year....

Good Luck....

Green alcohol 1 cup absorbine 1 cup vinegar 16 oz bottle which hazel mix in a 5 gal bucket of warm water/half full. Rinse horse so he is wet all over then sponge the mixture all over the body mostly back and legs. Tie or turn loose in stall to dry. This gives a body massage.

Lots of options: magnets,  Injections, massage, cherry juice or other linament, lumbar stretches. To my knowledge, all BOT does is reflect the horse's own body heat. You could do that with tin foil.

Weird that you say that because I have a couple horses who never respond to the PHT sheet but they start out much looser and ready to work if I've had the BOT sheet on them first. Chance will follow me to the gate if I take the BOT sheet off him....he wants it back! The PHT also does not fit him very well.....it ends up sliding back on his hips and being super tight across his chest but the BOT sheet fits him great. I will say that Clifford LOVES the PHT so much that I haven't hardly had the BOT sheet on him in the 2 months I've had it. I figure either sheet is preventative maintenance to be used in addition to vet & chiro visits, and I'll always have at least one of each on hand since different horses seem to like different ones.

I forgot to mention that I also use the PHT Poll Pak...

We had lots of soreness in my mare, she is barefoot, and her hooves tell all....Anyways we thought it was all in her back and hips, turns out there was a mass of scare tissue the size of a golf ball in her right poll area, we had to leave her at the vet for a week and she was put to sleep 4 days in a row while they worked to break up the mass....

We took several months off, started using the PHT and young living essential oils....

I have done the RAINDROP Technique on her as well....

She looks good, feels good and is working great ready for the new year...

Every horse is so very different, but only u know ur horse, sometimes u gotta think outside to box to find out what ails them...

Once again good luck, never like seeing a horse in pain...

Here some pics of my mare....

AGREE...

It just reflects back the bodys own body heat.....

You need something to increase the blood flow and carry oxygen to the damaged areas, and toxins removed......

It sounds like your horse has more going on than something putting any type of sheet on it will fix.  I would go to a massage therapist or chiro again.  Without some heavy duty vet work, MRI, Xrays etc, I don't know how the vet could diagnose anything in spine or kidneys.

I love my PHT blankets, hoods, poll packs, 3 in 1s and quick wraps, but there are times when my horse needs more massage and chiro to get the kinks worked out.  The PHT stuff REALLY helps loosen them up so the chiro can work their magic easier.

Thank you for all of the input! Today he had his first magna wave treatment which he thoroughly enjoyed. I will definitely look into the PHT!

I agree whole heartedly.  It is about a Great relationship with your vet and paying close attention.
I have even went so far to walk, long trot and lope one particular horse everyday and measure the foot falls...
By doing this I was able to help the vet obtain the proper diagnosis No single therapy is a cure all.  You have to have all the pieces of the puzzle and listen to your horse and vet... and sometimes a 2nd vet and a 3 rd vet...
