I have wondered that myself... it's the luck of the draw I guess at one end of the arena....lol I think they should get another I also wanted to know why the team ropers don't get 3 loops anymore...
and I know Im not the only one that wondered about rerides.. Bobby is a heck of a BB rider, not saying that, but trust me there are more politic's then most know when it comes to judges... |

| It is really amazing that Will has won the world a few times, because he always gets screwed at the finals. |

I also want to add that it was very refreshing this year to see Kaycee Feild scored like he deserved......not 4 points higher. The guy is amazing to watch but the last few years he has been gifted quite a bit and it rubs me the wrong way. I really enjoyed the bareback riding this year and thought the guys looked really good other than Vezain about half the time. My family and I always root for Will Lowe because he grew up in Kansas and went to the URA shows when he started riding, plus Matt went to grade school with one of his sisters I believe. I keep hoping he'll put on a school because Matt would really like to go learn from him and figure out the secret to being a short legged bareback rider.
Be glad ya'll were not at my house during the finals. I finally had to ask my husband to stop SCREAMING at the TV. I told him when he wears the vest then he can judge as he sees fit. He feels Kaycee Fields gets preferential treatment over the other guys. I agree with him sometimes. I think other guys outrode him some nights and he was scored higher. BUT it comes down to the judges decision. That's why I love barrel racing. Its you, your horse and a timer. |

How come when the barrier malfunctions and the roper misses they get a rerun but if you get fouled on the chute or your horse runs off in the barebacks, you still have to make a qualified ride to get your reride? Sorry, I come from a family of bull riders and have been dating a bareback rider the last two years so I get plenty of earfuls about how the roughies are not treated right LOL. |

LOL. My dad judges now and he is constantly critiquing the scores. Luckily he's not a yeller. |

When they eliminated the third loop for the team ropers, I remember hearing it was in hopes that it would make the guys rope a bit smarter and improve the show. At the time, so many of the headers were coming out and taking a lot of long, risky shots to try to be fast - resulting in a LOT of misses. I don't know that they were successful in getting the team ropers to be more careful, but it does save a lot of time! I, for one, was sooo glad when they changed that...there is nothing entertaining in watching a guy miss, then chase the steer in circles around the arena trying to get another shot. |

oh wow I had never heard that term but I will be using it now! Matt will love it......he considers bulldoggers almost roughies so it will be fun to hear him complain about loopies instead of *^@$ ropers all the time LOL. |

Now see I loved the 3rd loop for when then header missed the heeler would take over and they switched, now that is cowboy! lol and I am not a yeller either, but lol but it's funny when you have a roughie or a timer watching with you and boy you hear it...lol |
