I just read the headlines Posts: 4483	I think they are easier to clean. I just clean and oil the underneath and use a wire brush lightly on the roughout.

I just read the headlines Posts: 4483	We have a Shiloh Ed Wright saddle that we got in the early 90's that is all roughout. It is in good shape and we have not had to repair it.

I have oiled the rougeout on jockeys and fenders before figured it might darken it but would be better for it.

I just read the headlines Posts: 4483	pros easy to clean, sticky cons sticky,lol. The stirrup fenders cause my jeans to ride up my leg on my new roughout. I had tall top boots though, so I bought the roper style boots to see if that helps. Waiting for it to dry up some to see if that helps. If I remember right, after awhile that problem goes away. I am not a very patient person though.

I am Woman hear me Roar Posts: 3395 Location: Choctaw, Oklahoma	I've oiled the rough part of one I own. Let it sit for two days and is good to go. It darkened a tad, but it was super light to begin with
