Hey y'all, I have 2 goats that like to eat shavings. So I know it makes them boalted but does it hurt them in any other ways? Thanks:)

Goats and sheep are ruminants.  The four part stomachs will digest shavings differently than a horse will (hind gut fermenters).  

Keep an eye on them for bloat - one side of the stomach being much larger and above the spine when compared to the other.  If they really get into eating shavings, I'd be looking at what I was feeding.  They could be deficient in something, just like horses who eat strange things too.  

Also - just throw more grass hay in front of them if they really are hungry.  If they are bored (like goats can get) find a jolly ball to throw in with 'em. Or an old tire. Or flip an old lick tub upside down so they can play king of the mountain on it.   Goats are VERY social animals and sometimes just need something to DO.
