I know there is still several months for the youth worlds. But, I have never been and id like to ask a few questions. How big are the stalls? Just wondering how many mats I need to bring. I heard you can rent a golf Cart there, how much is it to do that? How much is it to get a spot to hook up your trailer for the week? How early do I need to call about getting a golf cart and reserving a spot to hook up trailer? Any other helpful advise would be greatly appreciated! I'm very nervous about going! It'll only be me and my sister going. My parents aren't going. Any dos and donts? Thank you for the help!

Stalls are 10x10 or 12x12. Golf cart rental varies. I've seen it anywhere form $350-$500. You can rent them when you get there. Personally I don't see the point in renting a golf cart unless you don't unhook your truck for the entire week. It's been a few years since I got too old for youth world so someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think hook ups are $200 for the week. I know that sounds high but that's $20 a day so not as high as it sounds. You can get a hook up when ever you want. They won't sell out because they will put up as many portable hook ups as needed. I usually get mine 2-3 weeks in advance. Don't buy shavings there. Get them at Big Indian feed. It's across the road from the arena. Don't be nervous!!! Perry is very safe.

Stalls are 10x10. Send in your entries early so you can get in the nice barns with the permanent stalls. If I remember correctly our hook was $210 for 7 nights (so $30 a night) which is REALLY cheap compared to a hotel for the week. As far as golf carts I wanna say that it was around $350 for the week when a friend rented one a few years back. Golf carts are usually sold out upon arrival so reserve early if you really want one. They put out a ton of temporary hookups so there are plenty, but makes it easier upon arrival if you reserve one ahead of time.

Assuming this is your first trip out, you will have a blast!! The chances of making the finals are slim to none, but the experience is amazing!

RV rentals are not handled through NBHA.  You contact the fairgrounds directly and pay them for your spot.  I would do that now if you're definitely going.  Here is the link........ http://www.gnfa.com/rv-reservations/

Stall matts or a whole bunch of shavings are definitely necessary. If you need to buy them upon arrival, there is a TSC nearby that sells bigger, better shavings for less. The grounds has the tiny bags at a jacked up price. We always sent in RV with our forms and never had a problem, we usually got a nice spot so I wouldn't worry too much about rushing into it. Golf carts should be rented early, since they usually don't have too many extras once you get there. They're invaluable to have though during the week, everything is pretty spread out and you'll be exhausted if you have to walk everywhere all week. Bikes are also a great idea! Groceries or off-site dining is a much better way to go than eating at the restaurant on the grounds. They're very expensive and the food isn't all that great, if you're eating there for all your meals you'll go broke! There's a walmart just one exit down from the grounds, as well as tons of places to eat! Bring at least 2 fans per horse, it gets very very hot. Having your own hose at the barn is also a good choice, since there pretty few and far between in the wash racks. Bring some money to shop! The shopping is fairly good there and you're bound to find something you'll have to have! There are on-site chiropractors (Animal Krackers - love them) and theraplates as well as the salt-water spa (which I love) if you need any of those services. We usually bring a portable pool as well for those extra hot days! There are three pens/round pens that you can turn your horse out in too so that they can get out of their stalls and stretch their legs during the week. There are several covered riding arenas also for any time riding. We usually got the horses out later at night when it was cool to work them on their off days and it was great! They can be a bit hectic sometimes though.

You'll have a great time! We've been to youth worlds 3 times, the last in jackson and the first 2 in Perry. We also hit open worlds the last year in augusta, and the first in Perry. Perry is beautiful, fun and SAFE! It's the nicest location they've had thus far. It's a fantastic experience and I think everyone should go to youth worlds at least once while they are able! I hope you enjoy it!
