cranky B4 10am - 2015-01-28 7:31 PM I am not religious, but I can see how people get upset about this. And to be honest if there was a rodeo I was at had an imam do a prayer I would walk away. I know, not all of them are extremists, but like already said by someone, that religion promotes hatred against all other religions. And if the muslims would ever come to rule this country we would be in deep deep doodoo! And a foot or so shorter. I was deployed in the middle east once, and my husband five times, to fight for freedom.... so even though every organization has the freedom to do what they please, I hope most people will take that freedom to walk away and not support that organization anymore. Just my two cents. I agree and why now is all this taking over america? Our president shows them more respect then he does our troops .....and look at the world now.. ... this is not ok.. and Id have left to.
Agree
Agree!! I think we need to impeach Obama...been saying this years ago. He has run this country into the GROUND and everyone is just letting him do whatever he wants to. When I heard of the Muslim prayer being read on Sunday at Ft. Worth I was outraged! |

 Own It and Move On
Location: The edge of no where | It's been interesting to follow the fort worth stock show FB page. They've received a lot of complaints about their decision......so this morning they've changed the page so that you can no longer post comments to it and removed the option to post reviews. I'm hopeful that their phone is still blowing up today and that people do not let this issue drop. They've crawfished on their decision and attempting to do PR control at this point. If they don't like what you comment, they will delete it. I called yesterday and spoke to Brad Barnes for about 10 min and let him know I will take the time to follow up with their sponsors. |

I've been watching some of this too. However, there is A LOT of inaccurate information in the show. History posted a disclaimer saying the show is based primarely on fiction.
While a lot of might not be historical, the fact remains is that there was a revolution. And, some of same things that happened then are happening now. People are sticking their heads in the sand saying "this isn't happening". When in all actuality our freedoms are being taken away right under our noses.

All you have to do is listen to Obama and his White House Secretary and everything they say is fiction. |

You guessed it. The list, with Muslim on top, looks alarming. I watched part of the video you posted - that was alarming too! |

| my husband also called and voiced our opinion on this matter- but basically imo I think Christians are going to have to take a stand and not look the other way any longer- we will not attend a fort worth stock show to watch or participate and it will be the same for any other rodeo for us no matter what amount of money is up for grabs- this has all gone way to far if muslims want to have a rodeo let them have their own dang rodeo- they always want to come to America and change what we do to suit them -WHY ARE WE CAVING INTO THEM?!?!?! |

Location: Arkansas | Someone may have already posted this but, here is what the PRCA says on the tie-down rule... I did see something on the Muslim prayer too but, I can't find it! It was a statement from the Ft. Worth Stock Show.. I wonder if they would want to pray and bless all the pigs and contestants at the pig shows.. LOL I am also putting a response to the Muslim prayer by a friend on Facebook.. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Board of Directors met in Colorado Springs, Colo., on January 26 and 27, 2015. The business of the association... was conducted and this included a discussion of tie-down roping rules. There was no vote to change the current PRCA rules for the tie-down roping event at PRCA rodeos. Actions were taken to move forward with formal discussions of the event and its rules. All facets of the industry, including contestants, will be involved in further discussions and will present suggested rule amendments to the PRCA Board of Directors. ===================================================================== Response to prayer from Wayland Long.......
If you agree with a Muslim saying a "prayer" at a rodeo, then you and I do not agree.
If you read other people's outrage over this prayer, and then you condemn these upset people for "not being compassionate" or wonder in amazement "why cant we all just get along and sing kum-bah-ya" then you and I do not agree.
The reason we do not agree is because you would rather bow to political correctness than stand for what is right. You have bought off into the mentality that everybody should get a ribbon, and America should accept everybody and everything.
The problem with that is, at some point, everybody has a "line in the dirt"... where is the breaking point? At some point you have to stand for something. And that requires "judgement". My God, tells me not to judge, but he also tells me not to be a dumb ass. Watching institution after tradition after historical treasure fall is hard on some of us.
The other reason we do not agree is because you do not know the difference between "religion" and 'ideology". Religion is worshipping a higher power. Ideology is a set of ideas mainly rooted in economics and political policy.
My Saviour was born from a virgin, died on a cross, and was resurrected. He is the only human that ever walked on this planet free from sin.
Muhammad was a Jew-killer, who married a 9 year old girl, who says it is okay to lie about your Muslim affiliation in order to advance Islam, who promotes invading and overtaking, and killing any non-Muslim, or actually taxing them for not being Muslim.....
There has never been a single place on this planet, that after Muslims gained majority control, where a minority religion was free to practice in peace. Ever.
I still want to be friends with you. Someday you may have something fall that is sacred to you, and I will try my best to understand.
And based on where we are all headed, I will ****ed sure know how it feels.
