I am interested in buying your (15" x 8.5" Martin Crown C Saddle) listed on barrelhorseworld.com, and would like to receive additional information about it, such as present condition, last asking price and pics if available, i will like to pay with PayPal.

Regards.
FirstName  LastName.

I plan on telling him that it is currently in an auction right now, but does this even sound legit?

I would reply to them and answer their questions. However I would NOT give them your paypal info. I got hacked by giving them just my paypal email.

Ask them for their paypal info so YOU can bill them.

Usually the second email is where you can tell if it's a scam or not.

ETA: Usually on the second email they start talking about being out of the country and stuff. Then you know it's a scam and have proof. I get a lot of spam when I post to internet sites but usually I can tell for sure if it's a scam on the second email.

It sounds so much like the scams... They always ask for present condition even with pictures.

I just got the exact same email. Answered their questions and received a second email about another saddle I have for sale. Then received the email asking for PayPal account and being out of the country, etc., etc. Very disturbing.

Thanks!  I'll ignore it.  If they really want to get ahold of me they can call/text.

Everyone who ends the message with "regards" is probably a scammer.

100% scam, don't even reply
A dead giveaway is the copy-and-paste of the name of the item you have for sale. "Normal" people say "Hey, I'm interested in your saddle."
