The bottle brush gets at least as tall as a crepe myrtle.  And the crepe myrtles come in different sizes also. 

Yes the bottle brushes get really tall and full. I actually trimmed the bottom of mine to look more like a tree. Ours are taller than our house. I am out of town or I would post a pic! And an added bonus, the hummingbirds love them!
