Wait! He claims to have a Product that cures laminitis? Or a method or series of methods? Trust me, if he had invented a cure-all he would be rich right now because this is the number two killer of horses around the world. (Colic being number one)
We were told in school there would be strife with vets because the vet spent a whole week in vet school studying the equine hoof and they had to study how apply drugs to the problems... The course I took was 20 weeks and they had two other longer courses. One of them being an entire year. In the years since I gave it up due to an injury I've forgotten more than most unschooled/shade-tree farriers will ever know. And tons of new things have been learned and invented.I don't claim to know it all... I'm so far behind I would not even take it up again without some kind of refresher course. I can still shape a shoe with most of them tho. I picked up on that faster than anyone in my class.

Over the last 45 or so years I have been very lucky to have a number of very qualified farriers.  I, however, had to let on of the best go because his ego exceeded his considerable expertise, experience and talent.  

Lack of professionalism is a huge red flag for me.
