I am on the verge of ordering a barrel saddle from G-G. This is a saddle designed in cooperation with Jane Mekby. It feels great & looks great, but I've not had an opportunity to ride one. It is said to be built to fit a wide variety of horses. I'm looking for input from anyone who knows about these saddles
(I had never heard of them before
). Pros, cobs, caveats please!

I'd like to order one too but need to decide what style. I honestly don't how the barrel saddles fit but my husbands ranch saddle seems to fit about everything.

I rode in one for a little bit at one of Jane's clinics. Loved it! When it's time for a new saddle, that's what I'm going with. Not sure where you're at, but G-G is in Rapid City at the Black Hills Stock Show right now. You might be able to talk to them about trying a demo saddle, or check out Jane's clinic schedule on her Facebook page. If there's a clinic near you, she usually has demo saddles in a variety of seat sizes to try.

Jane used to be from up here, she recently held a clinic here and my friend converted over from her Crown C and bought one from Jane. SHE LOVES IT, so much she has me talked into one, I just need to throw hers on and sit in it first before dropping the money. Her one horse wears a 9.5 in a Crown C and it does not fit him, but her horse that wears an 8 crown c it does. She said even though the seat is not padded
(she has the rough out
) it is very comfortable. They are nice quality and light. So far everyone I know that has one loves it and is overall happy with fit and feel.
