You are right. I stand corrected. If history has taught us anything it's that we should never intervene and stop evil. Isolationism is the way to go. We are protected by two vast oceans. We shouldn't have interfered in Europe's war in 1941. I'm sure the world would be a much better place. We can't stop genocide anyway. It will go away and play itself out.

Because that's what you get to do when you are a world superpower. When your economy, your laws, and your leadership directs and dictates what other countries do or how they act ... you get to then step up to the plate and put injustice (social or otherwise) in a hole.
You don't sit by and wait for "the rebels in a dirt hole" to return to their hole. You put their rear ends back in the hole for them. |

That never works. Eventually, you have to draw a line in the sand and pick a side. Sometimes, that's also true for religion. I have seen several military minds on FOX, those in a position to know, who say airpower can be relatively ineffective without people on the ground who know where to direct airstikes. We've all seen the photos of our planes blowing up pickups with machine guns in the bed and empty buildings.......just guessing at what might be a good strike. Just throwing this in because it does make pretty good sense.

That outcry has been justified. Now we finally have a nation, led by a brave Muslim leader, willing to stand up to these evil bastards and go all out. It appears that his country is overwhelmingly behind him. It also is beginning to look like others just might follow his lead. I think it is a good thing that he leads the effort, but we really need to give them what they need to see this thing through. |
