Meleta brown has a new tree for her freedom fit saddle that is fabulous for very flat backed horse but that tree is so new we cant find it used...i think its less than a year old. She is looking in the used 1500ish area.

Ummm don't quote me on this but I think one of Lynn McKenzie's trees is on the flatter side. I was looking into them but just ended up buying one of Meleta's new saddles.

The wide fit has flatter bars, from my understanding they now have a #10 wide fit also but I beleive that would put more rock in the bars.

The wide fit Lynn is the same bar angle as the special with a wider gullet.  The Nueva tree has the flatter bar angle.

I read somewhere that the Lisa Lockhart saddle is a wide fit. I have a wide mare with a flat back, built a lot like Louie, so am curious to try one.

I just recently found out that Martin will make their saddles with flatter bars if you request it. I'm calling them tomorrow to work on getting that for my gelding.

My horse is extra narrow and incredibly flat. He's got zero contouring in his back, he's just a great big tube with big withers and big shoulders! Good luck making a saddle ride that around.

I ended up taking him for a custom fitting at Coats. Their flex tree with blocks to narrow it up were the answer. The flex tree by itself was pretty darn great, probably could have been padded for a perfect fit, BUT since I was customizing, we tweaked it a bit.

I just got two Tami Semas Saddles made by Jeff Smith and have put it on at least 10 horse it FITS EVERYTHING!!!!
You can find all the info on these saddles on her facebook page.
I cannot say enough good things about the saddle!!! I feels great to ride in and fits my horses! They are built with a flatter angle to the bars and comes in two different widths.

I have a lynn mckenzie with a nueva tree and a meleta with her original tree and I would say that the nueva is very similar concept but flatter bars (as someone stated above).

The crown c can do any gullet width in a flat tree
