Location: On My Horse! | I recently purchased a 2014 Ram. My truck came ready with the plate and all. I had the ball put in today and it feels loose to me. Plus, the fact that it is removable concerns me. It's held in by a groove and 2 bearings. I've only had the balls that were welded to the bed, but now they say it will void the warranty. Anyone have this truck and hitch? Should I be concerned? Thanks! |

Location: On My Horse! | Do you have any experience with this hitch? It makes me nervous that it drops in and it removable. |

Location: Montana | I'm trying to imagine what it looks like. If it is something like beloe or similar, I wouldn't be too worried about it as many people use that kind of set up, particularly for travel trailers. If you mean like a B and W trailer hitch (not necessarily that brand), like the turnover ball in the bed, I wouldn't be too worried about that either. Otherwise I'm not too sure what you're talking about.

| I have a turn over ball that is removable. When not in use, I can turn the ball down to make a smooth floor. It is held in place with a pin. I have pulled it all over, Rockies, Texas, and the super hills of home, Tennessee without issue. |

| I also have a removable ball. When not hooked up you can jiggle the ball and there is some play in it. The ball is held in with a pin as well. No issues last 8 years here. |

| I got my 2014 in June and pulled 5,000 with it. No problems. Right now I have it out and sand bags in the back of the truck, (hence where I live). |

Location: On My Horse! | Flitasic, that's exactly what I'm talking about. So the play is normal? I can turn it as well. I have no experience with these, so I was trying to get some input. |

Mine is not a B and W. Mine does have the pin that goes through the base of the ball and goes in a slot that looks like a Z shape. Mine jiggles unhooked and is not a problem. I think your fine. |

Location: CTX | We have the B&W and it does wiggle a bit when the trailer is not attached. But we have had it for 4 years now and I love it! |

| We have a 2013 with the same ball with bearings...no pin. It made me nervous at first also but we've hauled with it for over a year now with no problems. There's a little play and it comes out easily. |

Location: North Dakota | Don't fret over it. They are great hitches! Have had them in a few trucks and have never had an issues. I believe the B&W turnover ball is one of the most popular hitches out there. |

Location: On My Horse! | Thanks for the responses. This ball doesn't turn over. When not in use, you can remove it just by squeezing the sides and lifting. |

| I to was very worried about the play in our first B&W ball until we had a bad wreck with large 4 horse LQ trailer. They should use the pictures for adds and the trailer should have come unhooked. We have used one for the last 10 years now and have never had a problem until 2 months ago when we traded trucks the dealership did not install the new one correct. Sent B&W a picture of the problem and they sent a representative the dealership to install another and teach them the correct way. |
