I have finally decided to start barrel racing again!!! I ran for about 9 years then got pregnant with my twin girls so of course horses got put on the back burner. Well they are 14 months old now and it's time for me to get back to what I love (of course nothing compares to being mommy to those two little girls). I sold my good horse while i was taking my break so I'm looking at a 6 year old. The girl that has him now is best friends with my good friend. I know he has been started right, taken slow, and taken care of. I really like this horse and I haven't even swung a leg over him yet lol. He has been hauled only 3 times and his first time placed 8th in the 1d and his second and third runs he placed high in the 3d. She said he loved that tiny pattern on his first run! I'm hoping to get a chance to go ride him this weekend!! Just had to share my excitement!

He reminds me a lot of my first horse that i have now retired. That horse was/is my world and to find one that reminds me so much of him I think it's just a sign! lol. They even have the same birth day!! (same day of course but not the same year. lol. a 16 year difference)

How exciting! I'm happy for you and hope you do buy the horse your looking at. I love Easy Jet horses and multiple other mentionable names on the pedigree!

I took a break for about 5 months while I was finishing school, we were moving, expanding the ranch, buying more cattle, and the list of reasons why I didn't have times goes on. It felt like years though and I was ecstatic to get my horses legged up and get on the road. Lord willing I won't have to go through barrel racing withdraws again!

thank y'all. i'm getting more and more excited for this weekend so i can go ride him. yes priorities deifnitely change, and they should, but i'm ready to finally find a way to make time for myself! i'm just not myself without barrel racing and i can't raise my two daughters around barrel racing like i've always wanted to do unless i get back into it. they need a good barrel racing foundation put into them at an early age haha

I bought him!! I went and rode him yesterday evening. He was excited and on the muscle which was expected but listened to everything I asked. He did calm down once I had been on him. I trotted breezed him through the pattern a few times. He worked beautifully even though I was all over the place on him. New horse, I haven't really ridden in 2 years, riding a lefty instead of a righty like i have always done... so yea i was a mess but he handled it like a sweetheart. After I rode and unsaddled, i sat down on the edge of my trailer by him and he put his head in my lap for some love! He's now home with me and getting settled in :) I can't wait to see what we can do when i finally get with him!
