We are about 55 miles SE of Dallas and we only got some flurries. Yay!  My DH had a meeting in Stephenville this morning and decided it was a good idea to go...he is still stuck in traffic on I-20 in Arlington!  BTW, he didn't even make it to S-ville because of a jackknifed semi.  He had to turn around and head home.
This is what it looks like here:

Totally off topic, but what is a DH? ****ed husband??? Enlighten this old lady, please?

Herbie - 2015-02-27 1:56 PM Yep.....looks like we'll be sledding home from work yet again this afternoon.  I mean seriously, what is this, Green Bay, Wisconsin???  What the heck is this weather????  And yes, i'm whining!
 You are allowed to whine!!!

I will whine with you while Im on baby watch!!!
Uh oh....do I need to come take a shift???? Tell that mama that she needs to keep that baby in the incubator just a fewwwww more days!
Ditto on Herbie's shift!  We need to get you a foaling camera.  Tell mama to hold at least until Sun. Thurs would be even better.  We will all need to see pics when the little one gets here. Sooooo exciting!!!
Well she is officially over due now. ( according to all the calculators)

Baby blanket came in today so we are ready.

I am hoping she keeps her legs crossed. It is supposed to be snowing at my house now per hubby.

Kaycee, that is crazy. Jared said they have shut down Tanger Mall due to ice. Terrell was getting hit pretty good.

I second the foaling camera thing!!!!

Isn't that crazy!  We are cold but completely dry.  We have left over snow/ice from a few days ago but light, light flurries today that did not accumulate.

Your mare has GOT to hold on for just a couple more days.  Maybe you won't need that baby blanket after all!  It will probably be close to 80 by Friday...dang Texas weather

Terrible in Weatherford right now. School district got us all to work this morning only to begin sending students home before 10:00 AM. Parents were having a very hard time getting there to pick up kids, and buses were bringing kids back to school when they couldn't get them home. There were numerous wrecks on 180 and several highways were closed. I live about five miles north and felt very lucky to make it home.

Longneck, I think you will be ok to head down here later tomorrow but for sure early sunday morning to get to the American on time. Of course, who knows with the dang Texas weather!?! Even the meterologists here have been way off or just plain vague in their forecasts. It's supposed to be 71 on Tues. and then back in the 30's Wed.
As I am typing this I just heard rain/sleet start coming down!

That's sounds about par with Oklahoma! I wish I could say these weather extremes were a new thing to me! Lol

Hopefully we can get out if here shortly after lunch and make there by dark. Thanks for the update!

We are in still here in Ft. Worth. The weather is getting better, currently raining though.

I hope everyone stays safe in their travels during all this crazy weather. I heard the Denver area got hit hard the past two days; from the looks of it Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri are about to get quite a bit of snow.
Be safe everyone!

I hope everyone stays safe this weekend! We went to The American last year. Saturday it was sunny and 70 degrees and we got a little sunburned walking around the stockyards. Then Sunday it started sleeting before the rodeo was over, and we had to crawl home Monday. I forget how long it took us but it felt like forever. I really felt bad for people having to haul animals in that mess.

I know!  I hope everyone makes it safe and sound!  I saw on Fallon's IG that she is borrowing a horse for San Antonio tonight because you will be banned for turning out??  Is that true??  That seems like a little bit of a stiff rule.

Canchasr1 - 2015-02-27 1:51 PM Just got word from friends in Weatherford area that it is really bad.

Snowing along I 20 east, Terrell area, through to Wills Point.

If you remember, there were thousands of people who got stranded last year leaving the American due to an ice storm. Hope it isnt a repeat.

I was one of them.. it took over 16 hrs on what is normally a 5 hr drive. We got on 45, and got out of town, then they closed it, as well as the exits.. it was horrible
