| So I need some advice. I used to haul a lot in the past but as I’ve gotten older and got a serious career I’m lucky if I get to haul every other weekend to shows. The last couple years have been so crazy I had a bumper pull and just borrowed my mother’s motorhome when I needed it. But now my mother sold the motorhome so I decided to sell the Bumper Pull so I could get another Living Quarter Trailer…. Well now I sold my trailer… and I currently have nothing!! Pretty scary and I’m on the hunt for a trailer… I only spend the night in my trailer maybe 6 times out of the year… so I’m having a hard time justifying paying so much for the high quality trailer I want! Well we found one last night… It’s a like new trailer that is well made and good quality with all the bells and whistles which I really don’t need but love them… and it is a great price for what it is! (Almost kind of a steal!) So we signed papers on it and now I’m stressing out…. I really don’t need all of that… I hate that I and spending all this money on me and my hubby really won’t use it… but once again it is a steal for what it is! And then I got home and my hubby says he is thinking about quitting his job and starting a business Which I will support him and I think he will excel at it but it still worries me spending this money… when we might need it later... What do I do? Both of us have looked at well used living quarter trailers and we are not happy with the quality for the price… So please give me some much needed advice…
PS… I am bad about making decisions especially on big purchases I always get upset but this time I actually considering back out of the deal and I’ve never actually gone through with that before...

Location: TX | If the trailer is what you say it is, then you should have no problem reselling it and getting your money back.. I had a LQ trailer a few years back and we sold it because I wasn't hauling as much... well I have regretted it ever since.

| I had a 8' SW about 10 years ago... hubby and I thought we needed more room got a 17' short wall.. it was too big and then I wasn't going very often so that is when we downgraded to a bumper... I wish I never would of gotten rid of that 8' short wall trailer... the one I'm looking at now is an 11' I think the dealer actually priced it incorrectly to us that is why it is a deal...
My Hubby is actually a bit of a germophobe so he requires his own personal bathroom... he wont dare use a public one lol! so that means weekenders are out unless we go dirty lol! |

Location: Kansas (but Great Lakes member since 1978) | Sometimes you just need to get what is what you REALLY want and don't stress over it. Heck, you can use it as a vacation trailer too and you'll have space for stuff. If you can afford it without pinching your budget too much then just enjoy it. You'll be able to sell it later if it's not wanting to haul any more. |

Location: Slipping down the slope of old age. Boo hoo. | When I returned to owning horses after many years away, I decided to just get a very nice bumper pull instead of a LQ trailer. I enjoy the fact that when I go somewhere I do not have the hassle of a "big rig" nor do I have to "set it up", etc. I spend all of my time with my horses, then go to my hotel room. Love that. I pay for everything with my AmEx card to get points so I rarely have to pay for a motel room -- just use my points -- works great for me. |

Location: ND--it snows, it floods, it snows, it floods | Does hubby hunt or do you guys camp at all? Think of the trailer as a way to haul ATV's camping as well as a horse trailer. There are so many different ways to utilize them even if you aren't always hauling horses. At least that is my story for wanting a living quarters and trying to justify it to hubby....so far it's a no go but there's still a chance! LOL |
