Husband Spoiler Posts: 4151 Location: North Dakota	Just curious what everyone thinks of Cervi's leather draw bit headstall? Is the movement smooth on it? Do you like it more than a nylon draw? Just wondering if it is worth the money or if I would be better off just buying replacement cheek pieces and a bit separately. I do like the bit that is included with that headstall though so that is why I am so interested and I also like the idea of the weight from the leather compared to nylon/rope.

More bootie than waist! Posts: 18425 Location: Riding Crackhead.	Never used it but looked at one at Teskeys booth in Rapid. I didn't like the feel compared to nylon. Of course I can't go by much since it wasn't on a horse. jmo

	I've messed with them in stores. . . didn't get the impression that the bit moved up smoothly on the leather.

Yeah the one I have is nylon and it is a nice thick nylon so it does have good weight but I would just like a nice leather headstall behind the ears to kind of keep some pressure from the poll when not needed. I have seen the replacement cheek pieces so I may just order them then. I can get them around $20 and then a nice bit around $40 so that is cheaper than the Cervi draw which the cheapest I have found was $112.

Running Roan Tack makes really pretty headstalls for draw bits, but they still have they nylon cheeks http://www.runningroantack.com/dr.html
