Not trying to steal the thread but what does it usually cost to swim a horse or put one on an aquatred at a facility?
People do it all the time here I just have never asked.
I'm sure if you were to put one in you make that money back easily. Right?

There is a new aqua tred place in my area. To keep the horse there it is $56 per day. Given the cost of the aqua tred I understand where the price comes from. However, this is out of my price range.
I don't know how much they charge to haul in just for a swim.

When I have sent horses to Aquatread, it was about $50-$60 a day. I just picked one up from swimming that was $30 a day, and everyone says how cheap that is.

I went thru an extensive pricing a few weeks ago... I priced just about every joint that was recommended. Typically around $50 for the first swim and you get discounted to around $30 after the first swim. And then some places want $25-30/day boarding on top of the Aquatred/salt water chamber/swimming costs. It adds up FAST. Bylers were the cheapest, by far. But I couldn't justify the six and half hour drive down there and not really be able to make a short drive and check on him
(not saying that they don't take care of horses by any means, I just like to see with my own eyes
). I wound up taking my horse to the only aquatred I could easily find in Oklahoma. It's $225/week with the six days a week aquatredding, turn out and hay/grain
(took my own grain bc of allergy issues
). That's about $32/day and easily within my price range when I was originally budgeting for $50-80/day. It's a nice place and my vet really thought highly of the vet that has his name on the place.
