Has anyone had this done?

A little history, my guy had his jack ligaments cut about 6-8 months ago. Originally when trying to figure out his lameness they x-rayed his hocks, they were beautiful. We eventually came to the conclusion that the jack ligament was his issue, we injected the bursa around the ligament, but unfortunately that did not hold, so we opted for the surgery. He has gotten better, but he is still cross-firing, swapping leads when warming up. It was suggested to me that he might be a good candidate for the steroid back injections as he could be sore in the back causing him to do this. Plus with him having a tilted pelvis, it would make sense that he could be sore in the back. I have him chiro'ed regularly because of this.

What are your thoughts on these type of injections?

Thank you.

I would get a back x-ray also to make sure he does not have "kissing spines "

I've done it but with a horse who I had radiographic proof has a kissing lesion. I wouldn't just arbitrarily inject without knowing where the problem is or how bad.

Thanks guys! He has an appointment with a specialist next week. Hopefully we will be able to pin point what is actually causing the issue.
