| If your horse likes carrots or apples, you can try this. I take a potato peeler and stick it in the end of a carrot (you can use a piece of apple instead) and twist it and pull out a plug of carrot leaving a hole big enough for the pill. I poke the pill inside and use the plug and stick it back inside on top of the pill. I would let my horse bite the end without the pill first then let her have the end with the pill. So far has worked every time. |

Location: Where I am happiest | I have one that will not eat anything added to her grain. So I just crush the pills, mix it in a syring with syrup and dose her. Then I know without a doubt she got it all and I'm not dinking around hoping she ate it. |

This. i have a horse that won't eat ANYTHING extra in his feed and he had to be on antibiotics for 10 days- he loved the syrup so much that when he saw me coming with the syringe he would run me down for it lol |

| Vanilla frosting. Crush pills with coffee grinder that u keep just for that purpose - mix in enuf vanilla frosting and maybe a drop or more of water if its too thick and dose w/syringe. Works every time. |

Location: Sunny So Cal | -put in bran mash with grated carrots and apples and mix with apple juice. -put in applesauce -try papaya, my horse loves this and watermelon -molasses -if it is super super important, dosing syringe and tube it down her throat. Then she might eat it one of the other ways because she didn't like this way. Good Luck and I hope you find something that will help! |

Location: Alberta, Canada | I'm with the syringing advice. I have a mare that recently needed medication twice a day but wouldn't eat in the mornings so I mixed it with water and syringed it. Much less hassle than wasting pricey meds in feed that isn't getting eaten. |
