| I have an old knee injury and my knee kills me every time I ride. I now have torn several ligaments in my ankle and was told certain stirrups would help not hurt so much? Anyone know?

Location: USA | The slanted help for knees. The offset, if I'm thinking correctly, help if your saddle fenders don't naturally turn. Like how Martin saddles can come with the Hamlet twist, or Triple Creek saddles can come pre-turned? The offset help when your saddle fenders aren't turned. |

| I think you just have to try them. I personally didn't notice a difference going to the slants. Going from the big clunky rawhide stirrups to the aluminum style that comes on Martin's, Dbl J's etc helped more along with twisted fenders, those probably helped the most and hamley twists/cowboy twists/texas rolls etc etc are super super easy to put in

Location: NC | My mom has a bad knee and has a martin with the twist and it kills her knee. It wasnt bad at first know it hurts. The next thing she wants to try is slanted stirrups. |

Location: North Dakota | I have these! had a friend borrow them to try that really messed up her ankle last year and she loves them too. My only complaint is hanging them on your saddle doesn't make sense-I just say to try them until you figure out how you like them. There are directions on the stirrups as to right and left, but I end up putting them on oposite of what the directions that are printed onthe stirrups and I love how they make my legs/knees not hurt. I'm a pretty logical straight forward person and these dang stirrups make me crazy. Regardless, adjust them until you like them! http://www.sawalls.net/pages/browse.php?item=59 |

| I love my Nettles stirrups with the leveler. They are the best stirrups that I have ever used! |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I really like my slanted, I bought some Nettles like them too mostley to just trail ride in, I ran barrels in the nettles a couple of times and I blew a stirrup both times, so had to go back to a heavier stirrup. But I really like how my knees dont hurt as much useing the Walls slanted or the Nettles, I still hurt but not as much as I did when I used a normal stirrup. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | I like the Nettles and I also like the Original CROOKED Stirrups. I don't have a pair of nettles anymore but I loved mine. I use CROOKED's for roping. I tried NRS's version of the CROOKED and they hurt my knees and hips. |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | I have slanted walls on my saddle and will lose them in a run if I don't rubberband. I have no idea why. The first saddle I put them on, I never could get the adjustment right--they were either too short or too long. Tried them on a different saddle, and they feel great riding around, I don't know what the problem is running. |

| I have the slanted stirrups from Walls. I shattered my ankle years ago and these are the only ones that helped with the pain. Also if you lose the slanted stirrups when you run you might try to shorten the length of your fenders on your saddle. |

Location: East TN | I bought a pair of slanted stirrups last week. They are amazing! Riding with regular stirrups would hurt my knees and balls of my feet. Not a bit of problem with the slanted ones. |

| I LOVE Wall's slanted stirrups! I got mine at NRS. They take pressure off your knees and ankles, plus I don't seem to lose stirrups as easily. I wasn't a fan of the narrow, metal/aluminum slanted stirrups. |

Location: Michigan | Definitely slanted or twisted slanted. I've had a shattered knee cap & compound fractured ankle. The slanted & twisted slanted have allowed me to ride pain free. Truly amazing how such a slight design change in a stirrup can make a world of difference. I have the Walls, but have just seen these:
