| In all honesty...if they can fire the cops, do away with their wages and retirement, it probably was the most fically conservative thing CA has done all year. |

| $650,000 out of court settlement, makes me want to puke. I'm not saying he didn't get what he had coming to him BUT I also thought the cops took it way out of hand. With all the bad attention cops are getting through the media you would have thought they would have had better sense than that. The fact that he was able to sue and win is just BS. Honestly, they should all go to jail, the horse thief, the crotch kicking cop and the rest of the pack that joined in. There should have been no settlement. Sorry dude, that's the risk you take when you run from the police!

| That POS should get his medical bills paid and not a penny more and some if not all of the LEOs should be fired. |

| Our news just said that in the settlement the cops did not have to admit any wrong doing and it was to prevent a multi million dollar trial.
Suspect is still being charged with original crimes and horse theft, evading arrest etc and will go to trial.

Common Sense and then some
Location: So. California | I'm surprised at the low amount. Smart move by the county. They avoid a lawsuit and trial, acknowledge no wrong doing/settle all claims, and are not releasing the names of the officers involved due to safety concerns. This is a good outcome for the county. |

POOR GUY ... just got ripped off by his attorneys ... they will already get 40% of the $650k and with upcoming trials they will get the rest of it ... and he will be bumming cigarettes while in prison .... |

I have to agree with you Komet. I would bet he gets more like 1.5 mil. and reduced charges. |

That was basically an out of control mob. Rodney King was awarded about $4 million, and that was over 20 years ago. |
