I am alway amazed each season how unprepared the contestants are.  Come on, don't you watch the show?  Building fire and shelter is easy to learn, yet so many don't.  And fishing.... anyone can make a spear right off the bat and start fishing.  By the time I was 10 I could build a fort, snare and fish and hunt better than most of the people who come on the show.  If I hadn't busted so many bones and tore up my body with 30 years of rodeo I would audition.  Doug, why don't you do it?

And as far as the politics goes, 37 years in the corporate world will prepare you to be stabbed in the back.

Spring Fling - 2015-04-24 1:02 PM I've watched Survivor off and on since the beginning. I tend to get irritated with the emotional crap that happens with the letters/videos/etc from family. They've been separated, what, a few weeks??? Why all the crying and crap. They chose to be there. They are on a tropical island surrounded by cameras, and other people. They aren't in any real danger. I grew up with my parents on the road all the time. My dad rodeoed and drove truck, my mom rodeos, I rodeo. I sent a husband off to combat. I sent the same husband off to work in Alaska for months at a time. When you send a loved one off to combat, then you have a reason to cry and get emotional. But, maybe I'm just a callous *****... SF
I couldn't agree more...You would think some of them have been prisoners of war for years instead of being on a tropical island for a few weeks, when they read their letters from home..LOL

They aren't even on an island.  I looked it up on Google earth and there is a farm house about 500 yards away.  They have guards every where so no one can penetrate the security.

$5 or $10 million dollar gag order law suit pending if you disclose what happens.   Yes it was filmed last summer.

It's not "really" over though. They're down to the final 2, maybe 3 (depending on how they did it this season), but haven't revealed the final vote for the winner. The final vote will be revealed in a live finale show after the season airs.

So have they already voted for the winner and its hasnt been revealed?  Or is the final vote taken during the finale show?   I would think opinions could change after they watch the episodes if the vote hasnt already been done.

The voting was done the last day of the filming of the show but the winner isn't revealed until the airing of the end of that season.

Ugh... how would you like to go a year before you find out if you won. I think that would make me sick lol.
