Location: Gainesville, TX | Ulcers would be my number one guess. Back out or back pain too. Do you always haul the cinch tight immediately? Have you tried walking her a few steps and then tightening it up a bit, another few steps and then tighten it up some more. Might help. |

| Is there something on the pad, cinch, or in her coat that could be hurting when pressure is put on it? Or maybe she's sore somewhere and when the cinch is tightened the saddle puts pressure in her sore spot. I'm just guessing though, could be something totally different :) |

| I think she is telling you she is not a happy camper either :). I would get her checked out by vet. |

Location: Where I am happiest | We have a colt that went through this. It was saddle fit and as soon as we bought him his own saddle w/ a 8 inch gullet the pulling back when saddling stopped. Also make sure you arent cinching up tight right away. Just take the slack out, and lead to the arena. Then tighten more but not cutting them in half. |

Location: somewhere in the south | It could also be knots in the girth area! Mine would fall out (involuntarily) when I tried to cinch up.................had a massage done and he is good now! It was very scary when he would just "pass out".............it did look like he was pulling back but he wasn't. |
