Location: Dubach, LA | What would you think about a horse that had these names on the top side of her papers - Hancok Boy 001, Hancock Girl 001, RWS Windy Hancock? All three are great grands on top. |

| So that would put Joe Hancock back like 7 or 8 Generations? |

| If those lines were closer up I would say that the horse is actually Hancock bred but with them being so far back it's too diluted. for instance RWS WIndy Hancock's grandsire Blue Boy Hancock is only 9.375% Joe Hancock. How's the horse bred closer up, those are the lines I would judge my decisions on.

Location: TEXAS | I love Hancock horses! My current mare runs 2d-3d in tough tx comp. Does everything under the sun! She is mildly broncy though. You either RUN barrels or prepare to go for a ride somewhere in the pattern lol. |

| Most Hancock horses are absolutely gorgeous that I have been around! I had a nice Hancock mare, she could really run barrels. But she was the most stubborn horse I have ever been around...and a few friends had similar issues with their Hancock horses as well. Too much attitude and stubbornness for me haha. Great turners and burners though!! |

| I have two four-year-olds by Bucks Hancock Dude, a filly and a colt, and both are extremely willing and obedient. No buck or stubborn behavior in either one of them. It is great having horses that act like they love being with me. |

Location: Peach State | My Hancock has a big personality (lol not always in a good way) he does test you if he hasn't been rode consistantly. But he's tough as nails and can go all day, getting ready to send him to the trainers to start the pattern hopefully his grit will come through on the pattern.
However I get a lot of compliments on level headed he is when we're at a show or roping, also on his conformation :) |

Location: Central Coast Cali | I have a 7 year old mare. Yes it's getting far back (6 generations back joe Hancock is there 4 or 5 times, when a lot of line breeding going on). Beside not being broncy which I've heard they can be. She is your typical Hancock bred stubborn but very athletic and smart. Do not show her anything wrong because you will have a hell of a time fixing it. Loves people not so much outside horses and can go all day. |

Location: NC | The 5yr old mare in my signature is Hancock/Blue Valentine with some running blood on the bottom. I really like her so far. She is super personable and always comes to you in the pasture. She was a little stubborn at first but is really comeing along now. She has super tough feet and has never needed shoes. Does amazing on trails. I really wish I didn't need to downsize because I really think she is promising, yet I really don't want to sell my old girl either.... I could decide which to sell so I put them both for sale and figure I will let the fates decided.... hahahaha
Long story short I have my first hancock horse and I like her!!!! Not broncy, a little stubborn at times, but mostly smart, willing and personable. |

Location: The barn...where else? SW Missouri | We love ours. Most willing, personable, friendly horses I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I wouldn't take a million dollars for my mare. She would lay down her life for me. Never thought I'd own a Hancock bred horse, but now I'm addicted to them. To this line anyway. We own 4 head. All by the same sire, different dams. This is my mares breeding.

Location: Oklahoma | I have one. He likes to test people, but gosh I love him because he's got a funny personality. His Joe Hancock is wayy back there (sixth generation) on top and bottom. He's a little on the short side, but stout. Probably the best turning horse I've had. I'm trying to use him to teach my 13 year old niece how to ride, but he's proving that he likes to test her and I don't want that for her. He's serves no use to me, but I am too attached to let him go down the road and be used for someone who might not take the upmost care of him.
http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/mr+red+roan+hancock I wish knew how to change his year because he's a '98 model, not '83. |

Location: Texas | I have this horse. Line bred Hancock on his sire's side. He's the smartest horse I've ever had, not broncy, very much a pleaser.
