Has anyone delt with a young horse that wants to do this? I've had my filly in the round pen twice now and both times after a few minutes of walking around investigating she casually walks over near the gate and literally starts climbing on the panels. This is before I even ask her to do anything. At first I thought ok, just dont give her time to think about it and keep her feet moving. But when I do this it just gives her a running start before the climbing commences. I'm so afraid she is going to hurt herself but I dont want her to think she can do that to get out of work. How do I get around this?

If you are not already put her on a line to work that way you can keep a hold of her head. I like to be able to ask them to turn to me if they are focusing on the outside. I will have them circle and anytime they start looking outside and not paying attention we do a change of direction and keep them watching me.
