| SO, I posted earlier about a mare that would visually limp at a trot/long trot. I got both shoulders injected, as that was the ONLY thing that showed up when I got her thermographed. She is STILL visibly off at a trot, but at a lope & walk she isn't? Lopes small and large circles perfectly fine. Why would this be? Could it be something in her head that she is still thinking it hurts? I have been through many vets with fine tooth combs and cannot figure anything out. |

It might cost some money but at least you'll know what you're dealing with. |

| X ray the hooves if you haven't yet. My mare came up LAME when she pulled a shoe at our race this past weekend, we got x rays done, and it turns out her front right sole is almost gone, maybe only 1 to 1-1/2 inches between the bone and the ground. And she only limped at a trot in a right circle. We actually had continued riding her for half an hour before we realized she lost the shoe, because she only would take an 'off' step every once in a while. Was hardly lame at all until we put it back on and she got really ouchie. So just a suggestion if you didn't check that yet. |

Did you check feet?
This. Mine exhibited what I thought was shoulder soreness.....it was shoulder soreness because of sore feet. Had xrays done and he had dark spots on the navicular bone. Treated with Tildren, no issues anymore. |

You need x-rays.. my bet is she is having some navicular issues. |

Ditto my vet told me this.
My horse has a lesion in his knee, not quite a chip but it's bothersome. He was sound at walk, lame at trot (like head bobbing) and sound at lope. Got the knee injected and he's sound at the trot again. Daily previcox was t helping this horse either. He's now off the peviocox. |

| I had a beautiful pally that I adored that was doing this. Turned out it was navicular. Most of us don't lope on hard ground so its not that difficult to push past the pain and go into that gait. It took a long time to figure out his issues. I was heartbroken. |
