Anyone have any input on this subject? I've searched and not found too much. Success? Failures? Anything!

My horse has been having problems in this area also, I have elected to try
barefoot trimming and have had gold beads implanted too soon to tell if it
has helped, but I have noticed better movement already.

Stem cells would be your best way to go, will speed up healing and prevent scar tissue from developing

Stem cell! Good rehab and strict shoeing schedule with a shoe that has good break over.

Mine had an MRI done last April on his foot, found tears in DDFT and some degeneration of navicular bone. After rest, IRAP, Tildren, and injecting navicular bursas, we have had to retire him. He will stay sound for maybe a week or two, and then he is lame again. I can't even get him to trot soundly for longer than a week so I don't see much hope in getting him to run barrels again. In hindsight, I should have looked into stem cells more, but the vets at A&M didn't want to go down that path due to the uncertainty of the treatment.

My gelding tore his DDFT.  Vet did a Novobrace injection.  Look it up, its pretty neat stuff.  He's been off 10 months now, but I am just starting back to riding him.  If the injection is done soon after the injury, they are supposed to be back to full work within 8 months.  We had great success using it with my guy.
