Leasing a barrel horse

I have the privilege of leasing a barrel horse from my farrier for the remainder of the summer. I owned the horse roughly 2 years ago and was forced to sell him for personal reasons. He has now landed in the hands of my farrier and he is offering me a free lease for the remainder of the summer into the fall. We need to cover him with a insurance policy and pay for all expenses
(he will be at our farm
).
What things do I need to consider? Does anyone have a lease agreement they could PM me?
Thank you!

I think leases are kind of like the releases we sign at races. THey really can be picked apart by a lawyer should something happen. Just make sure you have everything in writing.

Thank you! I was hoping someone had one drawn up already to save me some time! :
)
The insurance company needs a copy of a signed lease.

Just add a statement about insurance.
