Location: Oklahoma | I am taking a cruise to Alaska the middle of august and I was wondering if anybody has been there and could tell me how the weather is so I will know what to pack. I know it depends on what part so here is where we are going cruising the puget sound, cruise tracy arms, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, Victoria, . I have never been so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Location: Oklahoma | I went in May (2012) for my honeymoon and the temps were 50s to low 60s when we were there. Didn't go to any of the towns you listed, but I froze my buns off! I'm sure it will be warmer since it's a little bit later in the summer, but I would pack clothes that you can easily add layers to.
Have fun!!! It's a beautiful, beautiful place!! |

Location: Oklahoma | Thanks for the replies I guess I can leave the shorts and swim suits at home. I get cold easy any way but we have always wanted to see Alaska. |

Location: Oklahoma | Yeah, I would keep the shorts low on the packing list. I packed more like I was going to be in Oklahoma in May/June heat when it was more like Oklahoma in March/April. The 50s are probably my favorite temperature range, but not when it's an overnight adjustment |

Location: Tulsa, Ok | We cruised in August several years ago. The weather was awesome, mostly 60s during the day and high 30's or 40's at night. I understand it does tend to rain a lot that time a year but we lucked out and only hit rain once in 10 days. The layering clothes that someone suggested will be perfect. We flew into Anchorage and cruised back to Vancouver hitting pretty much the same towns you mentioned. It was the best, most relaxing vacation I have ever been on. Enjoy. |

Location: Missouri | I've been to Alaska, but never on a cruise. I think we went in late August...maybe early September. We went backpacking at Denali, no swimsuits or shorts. Although, the weather was beautiful! It was amazing. Have a great time! |

Location: rabbit run | We went the first week of August 4 years ago, stayed in Fairbanks. It was mostly in the 70s except for the morning we went on the all day trip into Denali. Forgot my cuddleduds and about froze for the first few hours. That was absolutely the BEST VACATION WE EVER HAD!!!!! ENJOY!!!

| I went in June several years ago on a cruise and I brought stuff to layer as well. Mostly short sleeves during the day and a jacket for the morning and afternoon. It was the greatest trip ever. You will have a blast. I had so much fun! |

Location: London Ontario | Please let me know how it was! We are looking to go as well, fly out of Ontario to Vancouver, 7 or 8 nights is what we would like. We were looking at celebrity cruises, we would rather spend the money for a GOOD cruise. We have never done a cruise before, any idea how it works? Is your airfare included in the price? What about food? I know you have to buy a beverage package but what else? We would like to spend about $2500/person with a veranda room |

I went on celebrity. I love that cruise line. Our price did not include beverages but it does include all your food. We always get a balcony because you just feel like you have that much more room. Flights were separate as well as excursions once your board. The food is so much better on celebrity that other cruise lines. Rooms and nicer and the staff is great. Highly recommend. |

Location: London Ontario | Thank you! The cruise we were looking at was 8 nights, leave from Vancouver and return to Seattle, flight, drinks, and airfare will be about $6000 for two people, is that about right? (Canadian btw) |

Location: Never in one place long | I went 3 years ago in August and I thought the weather was perfect! It was a little cooler when we were higher up in the Mountains, I would pack a light coat and sweatshirt and pants of course. I don't think i't'll be super cold but just be prepared! It's a great time to go there. I mainly stayed in Palmer/Anchorage area and went to Denali. Have fun!!! I wish I could go back! |

That sounds about right. Flights and drink packages are costly. |
