Buttered Noodles Snacker Posts: 4377 Location: NC	These are my options based off my local shops and price range. It's for a 3horse featherlight aluminum gn with small weekender. Trailer plate says 235-85-16F. One shop with Kelly tires claims he has 3horse featherlight a and uses 10ply because 12ply causes too much bounce..... Edited by HorsesNHarleys 2015-07-31 9:39 AM

Accident Prone Posts: 22277 Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR	I use load range G 14 ply on my trailer, but it's heavier. On my weekender size trailer, I used load range E 10 ply for years and years and the only blowout I ever had was from picking up a nail that caused the tire to become under inflated.

Bulls Eye Posts: 6443 Location: Oklahoma	working for a trailer manufacturer, when we have 7,000lb axles we put 10-ply tires. 8,000lb axles get 14-ply tires. Hope this helps.

I know with our trailers, people can call with the last 5 digits of the VIN and we can look up the trailer and tell you axle size. You might try calling Universal Trailers in El Reno, OK which is where Featherlites are made.
