I spoke/wrote in poor to taste to ITSME yesterday by highhandedly indicating that he/she is not intelligent. As a Christian, l thought about this, and I realize that was wrong of me, but I think what we are all missing here is both you and I, as well as Scott are all holding onto the same set of basic values.  We may not value the same candidate, but we all have the same general values and we all want to see our country under the leadership of a good, CONSERVATIVE president... There's no need for all of this in-fighting. Though I do not know Dr. Scott personally, and though he and I may disagree on Mr. Trump, he doesn't degrade others and more often than not, I've seen him targeted just for expressing his opinion, which by way of our Constitution we are all entitled to.  In my opinion, his points are valid and he's willing to listen. That's more than I can say I did yesterday with ITSME.   I didn't create this thread with a good heart. As a matter of fact, I was angry. I'm tired of this nation being driven into the ground. The reason being,  I dearly love this country.  I'm sure you do as well.  Otherwise we wouldn't care and that's exactly what the Left wants. You are entitled to your opinion and I respect it, but really, there's no reason to be unkind to Scott just because you disagree with him. I'm sorry you feel you've been left behind by this nation...My grandpa used to roll his own cigarettes too and I know he too didn't appreciate it when the taxes increased and went to funding social programs. Especially not after he had spent his whole life working like a mule in the fields.

We've watched our country slip into the  hands of the liberals, but in the same instance, away from the Hands of God. I'm not sure if you're a believer, but I sure am and in creating this thread (which bred all of this animosity among people who value the same truths), I was only acting on accord of the wants of the Enemy.   For that I am sorry. I hope others will see my point here.

Like yourself, I do wholeheartedly believe Scott only wants the best for this country. I don't believe in utopia, but I also feel all of this in-fighting is wrong.  If you're going to vote for Mr. Trump, then no one can stop you. That's your right and you should very well exercise it, but I ask, that you would look at the big picture moving forward, and realize that we need a candidate who will be able to sell himself to this country, and not just ourselves as conservatives.  Otherwise we risk losing more than we already have.

This shows what your true values are and I commend you for the high road you took on this particular post.
I have to agree about the "high road" on this post.... I believe when they raised the federal taxes in tobacco the last time they said the money was going to medical research and places that treat cancer. So I didn't mind, until I found out that as a poor person, unlike the people rich enough to afford brand name, pre-rolled, my roll-your-own was not going up a mere .50 cents a pack, but was in fact going up over 140% in total price. Now I can buy pre-rolled quite a bit cheaper than bulk tobacco. It's hard to gripe when I look around the country and see some states where it's costing $10/pack while I pay a bit less than half that much. I too believe Scott has the best interests of the country in mind. But when I see him and Clay espouse about how "Obama is the devil!!" It makes me stop and wonder. Don't all the "muslim" extremists say the same thing about America? We are "the great Satan" to them... Then I think about how he and Clay have for years here espoused about Obama is "The Great Divider"... Working to separate the people from each other.... While they do the same thing right here... Trying to separate the people from the leaders.... Separate the head from the body... I remember some of the ladies here didn't know squat about politics and were up front about it a few years ago. Now, after a lot of coaching from Scott and Clay, they are pounding the drums to those guy's tune. I just have to stop and wonder. I'm not sure who to believe anymore.

Get you a 'pocket Constitution' (they're cheap and sometimes free!)...study it, know it, keep it on your person...assert the rights it protects. Then you'll figure out what to believe.
Opinions are a reaction to 'feelings'...eg "The color blue is prettier than the color red"...the truth is based on fact...good luck finding the 'facts'! That is where 'opinion' meets politics...separating lies from facts. Research & knowledge makes the truth become clear. It's simple...there is a right and a wrong....forget the so-called 'gray areas' between the two...it doesn't really exist, unless you consider that it's the 'confusion zone' where opinions (feelings) rule without fact!
Lol...hope that was clear as mud....

I don't know why I would waste my time doing doing that. The constitution has been gutted!!! Search and seizure? GONE.. Right to bear arms? GONE!!

What? You think that Scott and Clay have that much power over the minds of us bumfuddled women? Get real.....Just because we have, on occasion, agreed with their opinions ....and NOT yours.....we are basically brainwashed?  Sounds more like a lot of "sour grapes" from you because YOU can't persuade many to travel down your path of delusion......

PS....I have disagreed with both on MANY occasions......just ask them?

Trump is quite a quandry for the GOP. He is the GOP. He is a mirror of everything they stand for. Now that he's in the light they don't like the image. This a reap what you have sown moment for the GOP. What will they do with this moment?

If the constitution is not in effect...then we now have Anarchy. No rules, no laws. A free-for-all.  Perhaps it's true, 'they' just won't admit it until a regime is in place? hmmmm....
