I watched his finals run today from my phone.... He was the most level headed and flat footed horse in the alleyway!  Very impressive.

I agree- it was great to watch! She has to be high money earner of the event too! She seems very well grounded and humble and obviously talented to ride that many horses to the top.

Speaking of- did you see the video Monica McClung posted of Wranglers Biankus (sp?) running the barrels without a bridle? It was cool!

Thank you so much for the nice comments! It makes it easy to be on top when I have the horses under me that I do. Gunner (Wrangler Biankus) is the easiest horse I've probably ever rode. I told monica yesterday the only reason I need a bit is to HOLD him in the alleyway. He loves his job & always try's his heart out. All credit to Monica, I've rode 2 different horses behind her, & all I can say is she sure does a FANTASTIC job!

Herbie, since I know that you and others aren't on FB, I wanted to share my post from this weekend.  It made me smile immediately to see this kind of sportsmanship at that level.

I happened to be in the holding area when she came out of the pen after her 1D Shootout run. Kylar was signaling to the next girl to run to hold up and let them get her whip out of the way before she brought her horse toward the arena. It was nice to see someone genuinely interested in making sure that a competitor got their best shot...The next girl in line could have very well been the one to outrun her, but she knew that the mare didn't need to come into the holding area and have to wait so she stopped her. Very classy move  Good job girl! There are always people watching and you are the kind of winner that we need to be an example for our little girls coming up in the industry.

Thanks for sharing, Rachel, I couldn't agree more.  You found the words I was trying to find.  I don't know Kylar, nor have I ever had the pleasure of seeing her run in person, but I do follow her on instagram and find it pretty awesome to see someone having the success she's having and being so quick to share it with others who have helped make it possible.  Absolutely a great role model for our youngsters, as well as our adults!
