I am trying to get my stallion for 2016 nailed down and paid for early this year. Last year we were a little late getting started, we ended up breeding to French Streaktovegas. Looking forward to seeing that baby.

Would love to hear who your pick would be for her. I am looking for something that is a bit more compact than our mare. She is 15.2 and longer. I'd like something short and stout. I want this baby to keep for myself.

Budget is $2500 .

I took mine to a son of FG. Frenchmans Guy crosses well on A Classic Dash mares, but I can't swing that fee so went with a nice proven son that is also a producer from his first colt to be futurity age. He's owned by a friend and I have the priveledge of riding him. He's not short though, but very stout. Guys Piece Ofthe Pie. He's out of one of the best producing daughters of of Pie In The Sky-Fleeting Pie. This stud stands 15.3 and has some big solid bones and feet as well. He's in Future Fortunes, won futurity money and several 1D races.

If FG isn't your cup of tea, my next favorite is Firewater Finale. I have a son of his out of a Shoot Yeah daughter. That colt is just the neatest thing. He's gorgeous, great disposition and also paid into just about every stallion incentive out there including Future Fortunes. He is also big though, I think 15.3 but stout and so is my colt. I have him at the trainers right now and he is doing well.

Firewater Canyon and BHR Frenchies Socks have been the two i've been looking at very hard. I just wanted some other options to look at before I decide on one for sure.

I will take a look at those as well. Growing up I had a gelding that was a son of Bully Bullion and a grandson of Pie in the sky on the bottom side...loved how that horse was put together and his mind. That makes me interested in the Pie in the sky line a bit more.

I've never been around PITS before this stud and he is the only FG I have ever ridden. I just can't believe how smart they are. Here are some pictures.

I guess French Streaktovegas is also another option again. This baby for 2016 is going to my partner, and I love the ASOF babies. Was kind of hoping to breed to him this year, but his stud fee jump took him off my list.
