I am having major issues fitting a barrel saddle to my horse. We have tried and been through, Circle Y, American, Textan, Reinsman, Billy Cook and I just no longer know what to do. MY mare now has the Circle Y Wide Flex tree Kelly Kaminski Studded Croc. She is bucking violently with it and I'm also getting roll. I have changed pads, girths, etc with no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do.....at my wits end. She has one shoulder higher than the other and is quite round, very hard fit. If I can figure out how to post pics of her back I will. Someone suggested a Crates, please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks in advance!

Well, we went round and round trying every saddle under the sun trying to find one for a very hard to fit horse. I hate to say this but none of the factory made cheaper saddles worked and most people with those cheaper saddles have nothing but issues. I dont know what your budget is but please do yourself, and your horse a favor and consider a Caldwell. Even if it's a used one you will be WAYY ahead of the game. Call them, they will walk you through getting the proper fit for your horse, specifically for your horse. Then if you do go with a used one you will know withot a doubt what size you are looking for.  They can fit a horse better then anyone on the planet and once you ride a Caldwell you'll never want to ride anything else ever again.

Where are you located?  I have an H3, now called PSC, that is way wide and would probably fit a horse like that pretty well.  All of the saddles you listed are going to be on the narrow side, even the wide Circle Y saddles don't fit a horse built like a barrel.  You may try to find a Cactus CJ, those fit round horses well.

I dont know where you live, find a local saddle maker and let them find a tree to fit your horse and make a saddle. The crate melida brown will fit a lot of,horses also devra sibley saddles will fit a lot of horse. The debra sibley rides really balanced as well i think the leather could be better. But that saddle rode great i sold mind but i regret selling that saddle. In my life that is the only saddle i hqve regretted selling.

Martin saddlery has a demo program where you can try before you buy

I would call martin saddlery and figure out if a fx3 or crown c would for your riding, then send them pictures of your horse for figure out gullet width. If the horse is built like a barrel I would suggest going with a flat tree

I too went through the saddle fitting merry go round years ago, and as you know, its an EXPENSIVE trail that no one wants to go down. i tried EVERYTHING!!! i even tried the bob marshall treeless and yes they worked on the horse but they were not for me, i could not ride it. i finally ended up going with the Just be Natural treeless by circle y. They are AWESOME!!!!! they fit my foundation horse that is wide as he is tall, he has no withers... they fit my young horses that are not as wide...all using the same saddle...these saddles ride and look like a treed saddle, but they are TREELESS. they are balanced in a run, I love mine, and would not ride anything else. they come in wide and regular, but i would suggest the wide....both of my saddles are the wide and fit EVERYTHING i have put them on!!! Also you do not get the roll like you think you do with most treeless saddles...as i said they ride like a treed saddle for you, but as a treeless for your horse. I ride mine with the fleece girths, and an impact gel pad,( navajo top with fleece bottom.) I have NEVER had a sore back, and my horses love them...hope this helps...
