I have a horse that will literally throw be forward in the turn causing my legs to be thrown back. I love me Slone so I want ideas from others on ways they have hobbled their stirrups forward. One person told me twine string from the stirrup leathers and tied up to the breastcollar ring?

I have used leather or nylon dog collars and secured them to the legging and the D ring on my saddle where the girth/billets go. I do not secure them to the breastcollar because I feel like that will pull on my horse's chest/shoulders. I did this for a while because I didn't want to admit that really the seat of my saddle was too small and that was what actually caused me to go foward sending my feet behind me.

Anytime I've gotten thrown forward it was a saddle fit issue. Your balance point is off. When you find the right saddle you'll understand what I mean.
Tying to the breastcollar really only works for children who are light enough that it won't hinder the horses stride.
