I get a compounded paste from my vet thats omeprazole/ranitidine/sucralfate and it works best for me. A month treatment is about $200. I've had good results with generic omeprazole from the vet as well. Omeprazole is the only thing proven to cure them, ranitidine has worked in a majority but doesn't have as high of success rate and has some negative side effects. I know several who have lost entire manes and sections of coat from rantitidine. No matter what nothing is really cheap, but there are alternatives to paying the $900+ cost of gastrogard

I'm on day 14 right now and I can see a difference in my horse already. My sister used THE on one of her horse also and it worked great the vet came out twice in 3 months for colic on her horse he had uclers started him on THE and has been great since then.
