I have a pair of Ariat (I think they are called Star Babies) - like Fat Babies only taller. They have never been comfortable. I feel like I'm wearing bricks when I wear them - I loved my Fat Babies but these are awful. Is there anything I can do to soften them up?

I had a pair of ariats that were taller and I never could stand them either. I love ariats but that one pair I just couldn't get use to. I finally sold them. You could get some boot stretch spray or clean them with some warm soapy water and rub some black rock on them and wear them around the house while the black rock soaks in. I did this with a few new pairs of boots that had some tight places and it worked well.

This is what I am really leaning towards - just being a tightA$$ though! I do have Lexol - maybe I'll try that!

Pick up some Skidmores - SLATHER the boots, put the boots in a dark plastic bag, leave them in the sun for a day - you'll have super soft boots.

Skidmore's won't darken the leather and is very reasonable in price - you can pick it up online too.

No Prob :-) I hope it works well for ya, we use it all the time on our good boots, work boots, my good purses ....

Also - You can slather it on the inside of the boot where it rubs on your leg.  That worked real well for my best friend a couple weeks ago on a pair of Tony Lama's.
